In this post I’ll show you how to locate the power-on pads on different Apple laptops. Sometimes it takes a few attempts to make it work. If it doesn’t work, unplug the keyboard cable from the motherboard and try again. NOTE: shorting the power-on pads might not work if the keyboard still connected to the motherboard. In order to access them you’ll have to remove the bottom cover and it’s very easy.

It will just crash and put up the Grey restart screen. The other way it has started to crash is when I have Chrome open. At this point I try to avoid i sitting on my lap and only put it on a rigid surface. It often comes back up with no issues but if i put too much pressure on that side or sometimes the bottom. This crash often makes several lines on the screen and just freezes until I perform a hard power down. The first way is when I put any pressure on the left side where all the ports are.
